Wacoms pens used to be really heavy, which gave you a feeling of higher quality, but with the 2017 and older intuos lines they've traded that with a strange lightweight quality. Both the xp pen pen and the wacom pen felt the same.

I tried to get used to it, but in the end it just wasn't precise enough and was slowing my work down. Xp pens tilt was slower by comparison to the wacom, and it jittered around a bit and changed directions when you pressed the macro keys on the pen. I use pen tilt constantly, in every brush stroke, and so I NEED pen tilt to be one of the most quality features. This is a tragedy, because it's the only thing preventing me from never buying a wacom product again. XP-PENS: Xp pens pen tilt seems newer/less fleshed out and not as speedy as wacoms. It's completely smooth and my favorite part about the tablet. Wacoms pen tilt is fast, precise, and doesn't change directions when you press the pens macro keys. WACOMS: This is probably the only area on the entire review where I'll admit that Wacom did it better than XP pen. I could unplug and plug back in the xp pen however much I wanted with no negative or tedious effects- photoshop open or closed. Get excited and open photoshop before you've plugged in the tablet? :-) enjoy wasting 30 seconds closing photoshop and rebooting the drivers. Wacoms software glitches and you have to close photoshop to reboot the driver. One of the no-nos you get used to using a wacom intuos is to never unplug the tablet and plug it in again while on photoshop (or at least that's something I've learned over and over again). It was consistently reliable, non-glitchy, and it led to even better performance than the Wacom's.

Xp Pen's drivers were pretty much flawless- in the weeks I used the tablet I had no issues at all with the software. XP-PENS: XP Pen's drivers are at the complete opposite end of the quality scale compared to Wacom's. I just don't think wacom cares about its intuos line, and it shows.

It's something you learn to deal with and tolerate, but these are problems that don't need to exist. I've switched computers three times while using wacoms drivers, and it doesn't matter if the computer's 10 years old, a few years old, or brand new and just unpacked.

Almost every time I use the wacom, I have errors and random issues, sometimes needing to close photoshop and reboot the driver all over again, or my computer. EVERY time I want to use my wacom, I have to go manually into services and reboot the wacom driver, or it's just dead.

They've been a mess since I first plugged my tablet in on that fated November day in 2011. I've been using them for 9 years and they are STILL flawed and broken. WACOMS: I can't describe wacoms intuos drivers as anything other than complete trash.
